A McCulloch on the Cutting Edge: Robert P. McCulloch

In the 20th century, the most well known McCulloch was truly on the cutting edge. The McCulloch chainsaw, named for entrepreneur and industrialist Robert P. McCulloch, “revolutionized the chainsaw industry by introducing a light one-man chain saw.”

Before chainsaws, McCulloch had worked under Thomas Edison, and started engineering, aviation, and gasoline motor companies. McCulloch is also known for moving London Bridge to the middle of the desert (in the words of John Mellencamp) as an eccentric land development effort.
