Auld Lang Syne

Happy New Year! You know Rabbie Burns’ “Auld Lang Syne.” But, did you know about the Burns-McCulloch connection? Robert Burns was friends with David McCulloch of Ardwell, and his son David. The younger David was a tenor with a rich voice. It is said that Burns would have David sing newly written songs before he would publish them. We don’t have any recordings of David. So, enjoy this rendition of “Auld Lang Syne” by Dougie MacLean.
